The League of Nations was the main reason as to why the Treaty of Versailles was not passed by the U.S. Senate. It was believed that the League would try to erode U.S. sovereignty and pull us into wars that we had no concerns about being involved in. The Back-to-Africa movement was also known as the Colonization Movement or Black Zionism. It originated in the United States during the 19th Century. The movement encouraged those of African descent to return home. Although he was saving money to buy land in Africa he was truly using it for his own personal use. Since many people didn't know this It inspired many other movements such as the Rastafari movement and was popular among African-Americans.
